Melissa was hit by a car as a toddler and suffered a traumatic brain injury. While her initial prognosis was grim, she is now a pretty typical 15-year-old thanks in large part to the team at Children's Specialized Hospital.
Melissa will be blogging about her upcoming trip to Capitol Hill on June 17-18 to tell lawmakers about the importance of access to quality specialized care at children's hospitals.

Melissa - You will be great! Butterflies are normal - just remember why you are there and who you are representing.....all of the kids - no pressure. Take a deep breath to relax yourself and then go for it!!!! Good luck....Trisha
