Party Party Party

My favorite part of the party was getting my picture drawn. I can’t believe the artist knew I loved Facebook, Myspace, Twitter and lets not forget Typepad. My mom, Donna and I went down to the Ballroom and when I first walked in we said "Hi" to everybody and picked out our table. We saved Amy a seat and we all had a great dinner together. After dinner we took our desert to the pool.

Tomorrow we visit the Hill. Wish me luck!

Hey Melissa -
Soooo the dessert was delicious especially the chocolate cake, glad you enjoyed it. You worked hard on Wednesday so you deserved every bite. I know you will do a great job on The Hill today and will certainly drive home the all important message about children and healthcare and insurance. Can't wait to read more on TWITTER and today's blog to find out how everything went. Keep on smiling and getting out the message. Trisha

Melissa's Story

  • Melissa was hit by a car as a toddler and suffered a traumatic brain injury. While her initial prognosis was grim, she is now a pretty typical 15-year-old thanks in large part to the team at Children's Specialized Hospital.

    Melissa will be blogging about her upcoming trip to Capitol Hill on June 17-18 to tell lawmakers about the importance of access to quality specialized care at children's hospitals.
