Washington was a very fun experience. When I met with the Congressmen, it got me thinking. What if I were in Congress? How would I work for children?
Well, I don't know exactly how the system works, but if there was a bill that would help children and children's hospitals around the nation, I would vote YES, YES AND YES.
Hear more about what law I would make:
I would love to meet with children and hear their stories. Maybe they could give me their trading cards too! I would give speeches to raise awareness, I would visit hospitals and children to hear their stories firsthand. And I would tell them my story too. I would pray for the kids, hoping that they will one day be healed like me and have the opportunity to visit Washington.
It's important for Congressmen to hear stories like mine (or like yours) because they are the people who can make a difference. If they hear stories that touch them, it would persuade them even more to do what they can. So if I were a Congresswoman, I would give my all and make sure I heard those stories.
The days are getting shorter and I won't be writing much longer. But, keep in touch. And read my last blog tomorrow!
