If you’re looking for 9-year-old Alexander, check the kitchen first. This budding chef hasn’t let acute lymphocytic leukemia keep him from cooking, his favorite pastime.
Diagnosed four-and-a-half years ago by Miami Children’s Hospital, he underwent intensive chemotherapy and cranial radiation. When he isn’t watching the Food Network Channel, playing baseball or making his doctors laugh at follow-up visits, quick-witted Alexander is enjoying being back in school. Thanks to Miami Children’s, he’s able to play with his brother and sister and have a full, happy life.
Leave a comment to cheer on Alexander as he travels to Washington, DC to champion children's health issues.
I love to cook, too!! Maybe one day you'll be on Food Network one day, teaching us all some new tricks! Good luck in Washington!
