Thomas H. Davenport, Ph.D, President's Distinguished Professor in Management and Information Technology at Babson College, the Academic Director of the Working Knowledge Research Center, the Institute for Process Management and the Innovation and Corporate Entrepreneurship Research Center will be the keynote speaker at the NACHRI 2010 Annual Leadership Conference in Minneapolis, Oct. 17-20.
As world-renowned thought leader and author of several books including, Analytics at Work: Smarter Decisions, Better Results, Davenport will share leadership best practices for using analytics as a form of competitive differentiation.
Last year, Davenport wrote about the importance of microdecisions and their impact on the profitability of companies in all industries and specifically mentioned its affect on health care and drug companies.
"If you're in health care, key microdecisions involve not only the clinical treatments administered to patients, but the daily decisions about how long patients stay in hospitals and how their bills are paid," said Davenport on the Harvard Business Review guest blog.
